Abbeymoor provides homely residential long-stay accommodation, to treat and care for women suffering from anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa and obesity.

Abbeymoor Eating Disorders Unit was founded in 2004 to serve Eating Disorders patients in Central England with expert specialist pyschological and medical interventions, in partnership with the NHS.

The Abbeymoor Eating Disorders Unit is part of a Care Complex . The Home was formerly a luxurious grand country house with beautiful gardens. It is conveniently located close to Worksop British Rail station which connects with Retford, Sheffield, Nottingham and London. There is also good access to the A1 and M1 major roads.

Aims
We aim to deliver safer and effective medical and psychological interventions to female adults to enable them to accept and address issues in their lives, so that they can establish a pattern of eating that will allow them to adopt a positive lifestyle.

Philosophy
The Client is the central person in our services. Each Client's needs are carefully assessed by our expert multidisciplinary health professional team. One Director was previously the NHS Service Director of the Eating Disorders service at the Maudsley Hospital and the Unit aims to follow their philosophy of treatment and care. A Care Plan is produced for each Client after careful assessment over 4-6 weeks.
